Brasov and surrounding fortifications

1 Day (Brasov - Harman - Prejmer - Sinaia - Bran - Brasov)

This tour will guide you through the surroundings of Brasov. You will discover the great importance of the region by visiting the most important medieval fortifications around Brasov. We start with Harman and Prejmer, two fortified churches from the 12th century, the latter one being listed as World Cultural Heritage Site. Continuing the tour, we cross the mountains towards the resort of Sinaia and visit there the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian royal family. Build in an traditional German style in 1883, this modern castle differs so much from the other ones, but enchants the eye with it's wooden construction and the gorgeous scenery it is located in. Lunch will be served in Sinia at the Hunter's Lodge. On our way back to Brasov we will stop in the village of Bran and visit the local castle which became famous as Dracula's castle.
